About Ecuador

Alishungu’s website tells their story extremely well. The only thing we could add that wasn’t advertised was that it is within walking distance from one of the largest Indian Markets. The quality of the rooms was very surprising considering the extremely reasonable rates. After our first trip we decided to stay at their Mountain Lodge. This also was a very pleasant experience. Frank and Margaret who came to Ecuador from the US 20 years ago have done a very fine job of preparing attractive lodging. Their attention to detail and décor is exceptional. Their websites are the best and most comprehensive we have seen. Please take the time to visit it so you can see for yourself what 20 years of dedication has created. The last two trips we made to Ecuador were with a touring company that we feel is supreme to its competitors for three reasons. They have tours to all parts of Ecuador including the Galapagos Islands and the Amazon jungle. Their “what visitors need to know” section is extremely comprehensive and based on 20 years of experience. Their website carries a lot more than you would expect. However, what they don’t emphasize is what we would like to point out: we wanted to visit specific cities ant towns and stay at specific hotels. We also needed a bilingual guide. Santiago and his people handled all of the arrangements we wanted and supplied us with a bilingual translator for our trip. We highly recommend it because they are flexible and customize every trip!
